Security & Privacy

A plain-language summary — the full Privacy Policy and Terms apply.

We process your bank statement to extract transactions, then discard the file. We don't sell your data, and you can export or delete everything at any time.

What you upload

A bank or card statement (PDF or CSV) that you choose to upload. You never give us your banking login or account credentials.

What is discarded

The raw statement file is processed to extract transactions and then discarded — we don't keep the uploaded file on our servers. We recommend not including anything in the file beyond the statement itself.

What is stored

  • Your account details: email and a hashed password.
  • Extracted transaction data: merchant names, amounts, dates, and categories — used to build your dashboard.
  • Basic usage analytics (e.g. pages visited, approximate location from IP), used only to improve the product and auto-deleted after 90 days.

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and passwords are hashed with bcrypt.

How deletion works

You can export your data at any time, and delete your account from settings. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

What AI is used for

Transaction text (like merchant names and amounts) is sent to the Claude API to suggest categories — this is AI-assisted categorisation. It isn't perfect: low-confidence transactions go to a review queue where you can review and correct categories, and your corrections are remembered for next time.

What spndrai is not

spndrai is a tool to help you understand your spending. It is not financial advice, and it is not a bank, lender, or payment aggregator. Always review categorisations before making decisions based on them.

Payments, support & refunds

Pro access is a one-time payment for a fixed access period (30 or 365 days) with no auto-renewal — you are never charged automatically. Refunds are handled through support in line with our Refund Policy. Questions? Email support@spndrai.com.
